GRADE INFORMATION FOR ALL GRADES
Explanation of what the grade names mean
1. Premier 1 & 2 - Referred to as Closed grades - Spilt into 2 x 8 teams in each P1 and P2. Top Level.
2. Senior 1 & 2 - 16 teams split into Senior 1 and 2 - next level down from Premier.
3. Senior Res 1 & 2 - 16 teams split into Senior Res 1 and 2 - next level down from Senior.
4. Challenge 1 & 2 - 16 teams split into two even grades. This grade can challenge the bottom of Sen Res 2 at the beginning of the following season to enable them to move up the grades. Only if they win will they be promoted up.
5. Open Grade - Sections dependent on team entries. No direct path to closed grades.
6. U23, U18, U15 Age grades - Where the first real competition is played
7. Year 7, 8, 9 & 10 grades - Where 7 positions on court are played (Ages 11, 12, 13 & 14)
8. Year 3 to Year 6 grades - All about learning to play netball. (ages 7, 8 ,9 & 10)
